This project repurposed a heritage police Station building for social housing. It required an inventive re-thinking of the old spaces. While the 10 apartment units we inserted into the building were fresh and contemporary in nature, our respect for the existing building won us a 1992 ‘Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Merit’ .
